E-Commerce Merchandiser (a.k.a. motorcycle enthusiast with Magento skills)

We provide premium bolt-on motorcycle accessories for the adventure, sport-touring, and sport bike markets, primarily serving European and Japanese motorcycle riders. As exclusive North American distributor for leading powersports and ADV brands (including SW-Motech, R&G and others), we also specialize in prototyping, product development, wholesale distribution, and Internet retail sales for the full line of Twisted Throttle’s house of brands.

The Position. We are hiring for the role of E-Commerce Merchandiser for our Exeter, Rhode Island location. Excitement, passion and experience with motorcycles is a must! This position focuses on loading new products to our website, maintaining application data, and creating compelling, useful product content.

E-commerce Merchandisers ensure that the product details, categorization, and navigation meets the needs of our online shoppers.  E-commerce Merchandisers will work closely with members of the e-commerce merchandising team, software developers, and marketing team members to determine the best way to present products and company values online.

Full time and part time will be considered. Motorcycle experience, gear junkie proclivities, great grammar and passable HTML tweaking skills are required.  Recent Magento product maintenance experience strongly preferred. Come join the Twisted Crew and see what the excitement is about!

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Update existing product images, descriptions, and categories in our Magento web store using information provided by internal and external sources.

  • Research new products and produce well-written, accurate product descriptions.

  • Manage website category trees and general website organization.

  • Develop knowledge of all apparel, parts and accessories merchandise.

  • Consistently drive to improve the product, listings, and overall online customer experience.

  • Check content for errors by proofreading, testing and maintaining accuracy of web content.

  • Understand the construction of HTML/CSS and utilize in website content.

  • Perform independent internet research to find information necessary to complete a given task.

  • Maintain product-bike fitment database and ensure fitment details and charts are up to date.

  • Use data and intuition to optimize navigation for browse/discovery and functionality.

  • Assist in creating documentation of department processes.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Must love motorcycles, riding, and the gear that goes with it. We need folks that are passionate experts about their riding and the gear they use.
  • Must be a polished written and verbal communicator: this career is writing and communication intensive.
  • Working knowledge of web production techniques with skills in HTML and CSS.
  • Content layout, writing and editing skills.
  • Able to solve complex problems on own.
  • Well organized, process oriented and able to prioritize.
  • Proficiency using spreadsheets to match and summarize data (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Graphic and photo editing experience preferred; Photoshop & InDesign is a bonus.
  • WordPress and Magento familiarity strongly preferred.
  • Dedication to proactive personal development, self improvement, and hustle.
  • Drive to deliver a great customer experience that exceeds expectations.
  • Previous experience in retail, customer service, or ecommerce is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask with attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
